QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS:
"What does Bright Drum mean?"
I've been asked this question a number of times since
the company began. To me it means more than one
thing. It is the flare of light bouncing off a camera's
lens. It is also a television set bopping colors into an
otherwise darkened room. Waves of sound travel
from a percussive instrument and are recorded by
our ears. I like to think of waves of light being
recorded by our eyes.
"When did you begin in film and video?"
The first work I ever did was with analog equipment
in 1996 before digital technology was being widely
used. Oh, how times have changes since then.
Before that I had worked as a video store clerk and
then a movie theatre projectionist for a few years.
